The La Vera valley with oak woods, a mountain stream and snowy Gredos behind

Other regions

Some products come from a single valley and have no region of their own on this map. Smoked paprika in La Vera, saffron in La Mancha, piquillos in the Ribera del Ebro.

Almost all of them have an older person behind them with no one to take over, and a younger one who is thinking about it. Celestino is spending his last autumn by the fire. Juliana has been stripping saffron for seventy years.

We are not going to buy all of this. We sell it because if nobody sells it abroad, in a few years nobody will be making it.
