Who ran it
Pedro pulled up the vines at La Veguilla in 2008 and planted pistachio trees. The village called him mad. He is seventy-six now and his grandchildren live in Madrid.

What we have changed
Rebeca and Ángel Moya have run it since 2025, when their wine cooperative closed. We have put in moisture probes and a huller in the shed so the pistachios are hulled the same day. Now we are burying the drip line in the youngest plot.

What it gives now
The last harvest gave 41,000 kilos of certified organic pistachios. Some are ground into cream and the rest are sold as nuts. The shells fuel the dryer.
