Who ran it
Sa Vinyeta Vella is a Menorcan farm with sixty cows, dry stone walls and a cheese room from 1962. Joana Pons's parents ran it until they retired in 2024. Her brother lives in Barcelona.

What we have changed
That winter the farm joined @seis and Joana took charge. We hired a milker so she could stay in the cheese room. We have built a new milking parlour and the milk is chilled with solar power.

What it gives now
Around 11,000 cheeses a year leave here with the Mahón-Menorca PDO. Joana presses them by hand in the cloth, like her mother did. That is why every one has a slightly different face.
