Fog over the fields and farmhouses of the Plana de Vic with the Montseny behind

Catalonia

Away from Barcelona, inland Catalonia lives off what the land gives and what it knows how to cure. In Osona the fog sits for days on end. In the Urgell the wheat runs to the horizon.

Llonganissa de Vic is cured in that fog. Torró d'Agramunt is made with almonds and honey from the area, only three months a year.

Montse and Pol still open the drying-room windows every morning. Clara learnt when the honey was ready with her grandfather shouting at her from his chair.
